Supervision
Borders Supervision
At Borders in my role of supervisor, I am aware of my aim to create an environment which enables the supervisee to be effective in their work as a counsellor, and recognise every relationship is unique. I hold the belief that in this role I am responsible for ensuring the work is boundaried and held within a sound ethical framework for which I choose the BACP.
I am strongly influenced by the work of Carl Rogers and the Person Centred Approach to Counselling and Psychotherapy with the core conditions being embedded and underpinning the whole of my work within related fields of practice.
My preferred way of working as a supervisor is to offer high support and high challenge as a developmental process to encourage and to empower the supervisee to engage in the process of supervision.
I offer both Individual and Group Supervision and concessions for Trainee Counsellors on a training programme.
